Earlier this year the Third ThursdayWalking group walked from the village of Kettlethorpe. Several members of our U3A have expressed an interest in the walk. Baz who led the walk is planning to lead the walk again on Thursday 10th September.

the walk is 3.5 miles (approximately) starting from Kettlethorpe and visiting the villages of Fenton and Laugherton, both part of the Swynford estate before returning across the remains of Katherine’s deer park to Kettlethorpe.

Baz will talk about Katherine and the Swynfords along the way and promises not to be a bore.

The walk is flat and on fairly good footpaths, with a short section of road walking.

if people would like to bring a flask etc we will stop and have a drink on route. After the walk plan to visit Torksey Lock Cafe.
